Elisha KIRK was born in Clive, Subdistrict OVER 28  August 1839.  On Elisha's Birth Certificate his father is given as Samuel KIRK.   He was baptized in Over, St Chads, 15 September 1839. The reference in the Register is Page 74, #586, it reads "Elisha Daughter of Thomas and Mary KIRK of Middlewich, Labourer".

He married Mary ARROWSMITH Northwich Civil Ceremony, 1869.  Mary was born in Barbridge, Cheshire 1845. 

At the time of the 1861 census Elisha (21) was working as a 'General Servant' on a 'Farm leading to Clive Green' in Stanthorne..

At the time of the 1871 census Elisha (31) was living at Gravel Lane, Wharton together with his wife Mary (26) and their daughters Eliza A. (5)  and Minnie J. (10) mths.  Elisha gave his occupation as Saltboiler'.

At the time of the 1881 census Elisha (41) was living at 440 Station Road, Wharton together with his wife Mary (36) and their children Minnie Jane (10), Annie Mary (8), Thomas Arrowsmith (5), Sarah Arrowsmith (3) and Susannah A. (3mths).  Elisha gave his occupation as 'Labourer at Salt Works'. 

Elisha KIRK and Mary ARROWSMITH had the following children:

Eliza A KIRK was born Barbridge 1866.

Minnie J KIRK was born Wharton, Cheshire 1870.

Annie Mary KIRK was born Wharton, Cheshire 1873.

Thomas Arrowsmith KIRK was born Wharton, Cheshire 1876.

Sarah Arrowsmith KIRK was born Wharton, Cheshire 1878.

Susannah Arrowsmith KIRK was born Wharton, Cheshire 1881.
